Milestone

1970's

 

  • Our school started as a small English-medium, co-educational school on 18.03.1970, with Junior and Senior Nursery classes and First standard and with a strength of thirty students and two teachers. Initially, the school functioned in a residential building for four years.

  • The Foundation Stone for the school building at PSK Nagar laid on 25.2.1972 by H.H.Swami Chinmayananda.

  • First Annual Day of our school presided by H.H.Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

  • The school shifted to its own building at P.S.K Nagar, the Junior and Infant School and was consecrated on 10.2.1974 by H.H.Swami Chinmayananda.

  • Foundation Stone for the senior school building at Ilanthope area laid on 19.4.1979 by H.H.Swami Chinmayananda.

1980's

 

  • First CBSE batch (Class X) with 11 students appeared for their public exam and it was a 100% pass.

  • The Higher Secondary School building at Ilanthope consecrated on 21.11.1980 by H.H.Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

  • The school got recognition from the Matriculation Board. The first Matriculation batch (Class X) with six students appeared for their public exam in March and it was a 100% pass.

  • The Higher Secondary School started to function at Ilanthope campus from January, 1981.

  • World famous Ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali visited our campus on 22/2/1982 and addressed our students on 'Bird Watching'

  • The first Higher Secondary batch with a strength of seven students appeared for the public exam in March and it was a 100% pass.

1990's

 

  • Silver Jubilee celebration of our school.

  • Silver Jubilee Annual Day of our school was presided by H.H.Swami Dayananda Saraswati on 09.04.1995.

2000's

 

  • Computer Aided Instruction with 20 computers supported by subject software introduced in the month of August for classroom teaching. Later they were shifted to a new computer lab built in August 2001 and in 2006, 40 new computers installed to facilitate one machine for each student.

  • A shrine for goddess Vidya Saraswathi in our senior school campus was completed on 24.10.2004. (Nakshatram: Sadayam in the month: Iyppasi)

  • Our Founder Sri PAC. Ramasamy Raja's Statue was unveiled in our Senior school campus on 07.08.2005 by the then honourable Finance Minister of India, Sri.P.Chidambaram.

  • Interactive white boards from M/s. Smart Technologies, Canada, were installed to enhance learning through technology.

2010's

Sri T.C.Pandian June 1995 to May 2012 17 years
  • Had completed 34 years of dedicated service - 17 years as Physics teacher and 17 years as Principal.
  • After his orientation training at Bandipur and National Defence Academy at Khadakwasla he established the Nature Club and promoted bird watching, trekking among our students.
  • As an excellent Physics teacher, he introduced "Thinking Physics" to the students.
  • Introduced 'Garden of Life'
  • Improved the overall standard of our school and successfully produced homogenous academic results with high number of high scorers - 80% students above 80% aggregate in public exam.
  • Encouraged the participation of students in other co curricular activities such as competitions organised by Indian Institute of Metals at Trichy & Kalpakkam.
  • A recipient of Dr.Radhakrishnan Best Teacher Award in 2003.
